What to bring

This page contains a non-exhaustive list of all the items you can bring with you without breaking the rules. It was created by older CTYIzens for newbies who have yet to experience their first course.

Room Stuff

• Flashlight
• Snacks - Surviving off the canteen is impossible.
• Your favourite cereal if you tend to get up late (The canteen runs out of the decent stuff quickly.)( Also, offering them to your RA can briefly pacify them).

General / Traditional Stuff

• General school stuff (although these can be purchased at Spar in case you lose them all / throw them at people).
• Glowsticks - For the disco
• A copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
• A Dressing-Gown
• Black Make-up pencil (Nevermores only!)
• Spare glasses / contacts

Essential / Other Stuff

• Camera(s)
• iPod and speakers
• Your mobile phone
• A massive amount of batteries for any mp3 player(s) / CD player(s) you bring & chargers.
• Frisbees, balls, etc.
• Permanent marker (for t-shirt signing the last day)
• A hairbrush and plenty of hair-ties (for dances, especially)
• Raincoat
• Umbrella
• Towels - about three, at least two will become un-useable by the last week
• Alarm Clock (You don't want to miss breakfast).
• 2 Euro coins - for the washing machines - You know you'll probably forget by Saturday morning anyway.
• A Book - preferably The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
• Musical Instruments (if any)
