Session 2 2008
- After the last disco of Deco's first year the Pirate prefix was handed down to him by his mentor Pirate Eoin.
- He received the role because of his apprentice style relationship with the swashbuckler over the last 3 weeks.
- Honorably Deco accepted the great responsibility of being The Pirate
Session 2 2009
- Went on to be The Pirate for the majority of Session 2 2009
- Performed with Mark Twoomey in Talent Show playing their own CTYI version of Overkill.
Session 2 2010
- He then chose Pirate Mark Dee to be the Pirate for 2011 onwards, since Deco too will be attending 2011, there will for once be two pirates on campus at once.
- When Cliff Burnstein visited CTYI Pirate Declan asked him "What are your views on piracy?".
- Got banned from the second disco for throwing water balloons at sportalians. (Totally worth it).
- Sang "Falling Slowly" by Glen Hansard at the Talent Show.
- Helped instigate the great floorgy of 2010.
Session 2 2011
- Final year.
- Spent his time educating all who'd listen about the importance of traditions.
- Made the closing speech.
- Check out his reflection here.
