"LOAFERZ, You crazy!"

  • His real name is Mark Laherty.
  • By far one of the more memorable residents of CTYI, in general was insane.

Contents

2009

  • The name was given to him in session 2 '09 by Conor Cunniffe because he wore the same pair of "loafers" every day during the session.
  • Loaferz achieved a scholarship in his first year allowing him to take 21st Century Skills free of charge.

2010

Session 1

  • In Session 1, he is not known as Loafers and has no particular 'legend' status, although he does stand out for being a bit more mental.

Session 2

  • The name was reintroduced during session 2 '10 by Sam Power, Pirate Deco and all of Game Theory
  • Famous for his "white-ass" stereotypical rendition of The Fresh Prince theme tune, Loafers has proven to us all that you can infact be pretty fly for a white guy and have a jew-fro. Even though his auditon for the song never made it into the talent show. Monty, Charles and Oscar allowed the pleb to perform anyways.
  • Infamous for his shouting of "RAVENCLAW!" and continuation of the non-existent fad during the Gryffindor fad in the first week. One of the 3 exclusive members of The Ravenclaw House, but was kicked out by Meg after a sexist remark after under a minute, he was allowed re-admission after apologizing only to be kicked out 8 more times.

2011

  • In the 2011 S1 WAP play 'The Secret Adventures of Stalin', he played little Jimmy's father, who kicked young Jimmy onto the street forever because he was sick of the child always ruining Christmas with his...

"stupid claims that another figment of your sick, sick imagination has brought you presents! Last year it was 'Santa', the year before it was 'Jesus', and now this year it's Stalin!"

Due to popular demand, he performed the Fresh Prince theme tune again in 2011. Strangely, despite having only improved incrementally, it went straight through without any callbacks needed. Either the judges were bowing to public demand or they actually knew what they were talking about this time.

  • In Session 2 2011, Loafers was given a theme song created by Pirate Deco and Matt Murtagh ("Loafers of the Hill People, ta-ta-da-da!"). Before long they decided to do this to every table in the canteen during dinner. As a result, it went viral and was used every time Loafers approached a group of people.
  • This fad has combined with the whole Fresh Prince thing to make Loafers 'The Fresh Prince of the Hill People'.
  • Mark Twomey, Rollo Konig-Brock and Pirate Deco made a Wanted poster for Loafers with a reward of $100,000 and stuck them around the quad.
